Jacinta Pattison’s English cocker spaniels Fletcher, Daisy and Winston will be among the local pets featured in our new pet page.

Pets are much-loved members of many local families.

They also come in many shapes and sizes, from a dog, cat or bird, to something a bit more unusual, such as a fish, snake or lizard.

Here at The News we celebrate pets in all forms, and as such, will be starting a weekly pet page.

Every Thursday we will feature a story about Goulburn Valley residents and their pets.

Our journalists can’t wait to hear your stories, and our photographers are looking forward to taking lots of cute photos.

And, of course, we can’t wait to sneak in a few pats during the interviews.

The page will also feature information from vets about how to best care for your pets, as well as featuring products on the market that may interest pet owners.

Articles about animals available for adoption will also be included on the page.

It will also include other information we think pet owners would like to know.
